Veterinarian/Owner
Dr Geert Lampen
Geert qualified in Pretoria 2001 in south Africa. He has a vast experience as a life artist, from salesman to safari guide in Africa, long-term student and soldier to Veterinary. In between the rush of running the Hospital, in Geert's down time he loves all things outdoors, camping and fishing are the top of his list.

Dr Elena Dreyer
Elena qualified in Pretoria 2001 in south Africa. Elena is a part time Veterinarian and holds the reins of the hospitals administration. Elena has devoted most of her spare time to raising her 2 children Nicolas and Lukus and has a passion for her veggie garden. Geert and Elena have 2 rescue dogs Scarlett a Catahoula and her son Zak a Catahoula cross cattle dog.

Veterinarian
DR Cathy Pheiffer
Cathy is one of our senior Vets, with 15years clinical experience. She has a keen interest in Small Animal Internal Medicine- from Diabetes, to Immune-mediated disease, and everything in between. She also enjoys detailed fine-focus surgery,and has undertaken external training in corrective BOAS procedures, ocular surgeries. She is our resident feline dental guru! Cathy developed a deep understanding on how animal behaviour impacts of all consult, and addresses fear free practice in all her interactions with her patients. This has led to a growing interest in animal behaviour consults, and working closely with local trainers to resolve behavioural issues.
Outside of work , you'll find her running on a trail. Wake-boarding on the river, carving up some fresh snow and enjoying these activities with her family and fur-kids, Indi and Patches.

Veterinarian
Dr Drikus Jansen Van Vuuren BVSc
Drikus became a member of the team in 2021. Drikus became a qualified Veterinarian in 2014 at the University of Pretoria, in South Africa . Drikus is shared between the Midcoast Animal Hospital our sister clinic and Manning Veterinary Hospital. Between work, you will find him fishing, cooking and exploring this beautiful area with his wife and three kids.

Dr Coralea Larsen
Coralea qualified in South Africa in 2005. She then spent the next few years working in different clinics around the country. She had a vast array of different experience working with horses, cattle, lions, Rhinos and a live cheetah. She joined the clinic in 2019 having immigrated a few years earlier. In her down time she enjoys nurturing her native and productive gardens, and looking after her two beautiful children John and Claire. At work she tries to ensure that every animal has a positive experience at the clinic.

Practice Manager/ Vet Nurse
Julie Ross
Julie is our wonderful practice manager here at Manning Veterinary Hospital with over 30 years experience in the industry and has been with us since 2006. Julie's heart belongs to her farm with her wide range of animals and her beautiful family. She is a great rescue carer for Paws Crossed Animal Rescue and is always putting her hand up to foster a dog in need.

Amber Nix
Amber has been a part of the Manning Vet team for 20 years. She has a wealth of knowledge and skills in all aspects of veterinary nursing and is a mentor for all our junior nurses and work placement students. Amber has a keen interest in advanced surgical cases and loves caring for all patients from tiny newborn to our geriatric patients. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and exploring our local area.

Vet Nurse
Tanya Brunell
Tanya started with us in 2010 as a school based Trainee, and continued with us as a full time employee afterwards. She completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing shortly after. She keeps busy with her multiple dogs, cats and a bird many of them being rescues. Tanya also spends he time with her partner and daughter and the occasional getaway in their caravan.

Mia Smith
Mia started with us as a work placement student in February 2021. She was employed during her completion of her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2022. In Mia's spare time she keeps herself busy with her two horse's Aiyana and Montana, while also enjoying the great outdoors.

Gabbie Becker
Gabbie started working with us in November of 2022 after completing her certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. She is always eager to expand her learning. Gabbie spends her spare time running and exploring local areas.
